Program Possibilities: Spring Egg Hunt

Submitted by Vivian Wang, Resident Assistant, University of Maryland, College Park

Have a Spring Egg Hunt for your residents! Celebrate the arrival of the warm weather, or let them take a break from their studies by letting them find some fun, treat-filled eggs. Buy a few dozen plastic colored eggs, and fill them with assorted candy. Have it outside if the weather is nice, or have it in your hall lounge.

See if your resident life department has freebies that can also be stuffed in the eggs, like coupons or discounts to local restaurants and stores, free movie passes, etc. You can also include fun facts, inspirational messages, corny jokes, or fortune-cookie type sayings for a twist! Be creative!

If you want to let them unleash their creativity as well, you could provide paper lunch bags for them to decorate so that they can fill it with their eggs!
