Program Possibility: Pretty in Pink

Here is an idea for a fantastic program we put on for the female residents of the freshman halls at Friends University.

"Pretty in Pink" (A party to raise Breast Cancer awareness)

What: Party!!! We had music for dancing…A hair-dying station where we did pink highlights in the girls' hair!!!...Cookies for decorating with pink frosting and candies… Quizzes about breast cancer...the girl who scored highest got a prize, and Games to provide extra fun, ice-breaking, and community building!)

Why: To raise Breast Cancer Awareness

Decorations: We decorated the basement lounge with pink streamers, christmas lights, pink bows, and pink balloons.)

The whole evening was a wonderful success. It was not only fun, but it was educational, inspirational, encouraging, community-building, and supportive of the cause.
