The Idiots Guide to Being a Bridesmaid, Throwing a Shower, and Planning a Wedding

Last year my CO-RA and I put on a series of programs. The programs all revolved around bridesmaids/weddings. The programs were called "The idiot's guide to being a bridesmaid”, “The idiot's guide to throwing a shower”, and ”The idiot's guide to planning a wedding."

For publicity we cut pictures out of bridal magazines and made posters. My favorites were posters which showed ugly bridesmaids or brides with a caption that said, "Don't let this happen to you!"

For the actual programs we invited girls who had been in or planned weddings to come and offer advice. For the shower program we actually threw a shower for the girls and had them play games that are played at bridal showers. We also had cake and punch. Overall it was a tremendous success and the girls loved it. There were several girls on the floor who were engaged or who had been asked to be bridesmaids so it was very appropriate.
