Forever Blessed Pencils

If you are at a religious institution you may do a hall blessing at the beginning of the semester, but this program takes place the week before or the week of finals. The idea is to get lots of mechanical pencils to be blessed for those taking finals. The pencils will be "forever" blessed because they are not the throw away type of pencils. For the program, have someone from campus ministry come with holy water to say a little prayer over the pencils and for the students taking their tests. This helps the residents feel spiritually in touch and also gives them confidence to do well on their finals.
