Submission Guidelines for Writers and Editorial Plan

DEADLINES: The Talking Sick news magazine is published seven times per year. Deadlines for submitting article over the 2000-2001-production year as follows:
October 2001: Student Staffing. Examples include: evaluation, recruitment and retention, mentoring, harassment of student staff, trends, short-and long-term benefits. - Deadline September 4, 2001
November 2001: Safety and Security. Examples include: policies and protocols, landscaping and lighting, programs, physical plant, fire protection, bike security, collaboration with police - Deadline October 4, 2001
No January Issue
No December Issue
February 2002: Benchmarking. Note: If you are interested in writing on this topic, contact David Butler, dbutler@udel.edu - Deadline January 4, 2002
March 2002: Facilities. Examples include: retrofitting or new construction considerations, considerations for utility cost increase, designing for noise reduction, the ideal double room for first-year students, recycling creative garbage - Deadline February 4, 2002
April 2002: Academic Initiatives. Examples include: collaboration, living learning, initiatives.
June 2002: Conference Preview. Other articles welcome particularly on technology, working with vendors, making the most of the exhibit area. - Deadline May 1, 2001
