Fun on the Job: Building Relationships Beyond the Job

Submitted by Rosey Chagani, Community Assistant, the Village at Riverside

Having fun at work is important; because if you enjoy your job, it will help you do the job better. For fun at work, the first thing is to be close with the other employees, including your managers. I am friends with the entire staff, and that already makes work fun. I come to work, but I also can talk to any one of the staff as a friend. I can tell them about school, things outside of work, and sometimes even personal things. The bond helps us stay united, thus making our job more fun. The more we enjoy this happy environment, the better we do at work. When you are happy at work, it shows in the way you do your job. I really enjoy where I work, mainly because I work with great people. They all have different personalities, with unique characteristics that I enjoy very much.

Do you want to start having more fun at work? Get to know your co-workers beyond the job and you’ll have fun everyday while you work.
