I made door tags, or as we call them at John Carroll, door decs, out
of old CDs. After gathering up old CDs (like those AOL ones everyone
has gotten in the mail) and getting new ones at the post office, I printed
each of my residents names on a retro looking (rounded off edges) rectangle
with Harlow Solid Italic font. After cutting it out, I glued other shapes,
like more retro squares/rectangles and ovals, onto the shiny side of
the CD. I then traced out some shapes for contrast, and then put the
name somewhere on top. The result was an awesome looking door dec that
could easily be held up by 2 pieces of blue tape! It was a great way
to recycle all of those unwanted CDs, and my residents love them!
