You’ll Never Believe This: Cover Your Eye and Repeat these Words

I’m an RA at California University of PA. My staff is a great group of guys but, our tactics are a bit off the wall like the day one resident walked through the alarmed doors and found him self stuck in the fire stairwell and the alarm sounding. After the several minutes it took my counterpart to respond he pulled the freshman out of the stairwell, stood him at the edge of the hallway, and had him cover his right eye and read the sign “alarm will sound”, then he had him cover his left eye and repeat the process. Slightly embarrassed yet, no worse for wear the freshman served as a great teaching aid for the rest of the floors new residents.
